Streetopia Obs 2025
Get ready for a burst of art, colour, and community spirit as Streetopia returns to Observatory, Cape Town on Saturday, 29 November 2025, from 10am to 6pm.
Born from the creative energy of the AfrikaBurn community, this free one-day festival transforms the streets of Obs into a vibrant playground filled with art installations, mutant vehicles, live performances, music, market stalls, and spontaneous acts of creativity.
What makes Streetopia unique is its focus on collaboration and community — no big stages or commercial branding, just people coming together to celebrate imagination and expression in all its forms. Artists, performers, buskers, residents, and visitors of all ages are invited to take part and make the day their own.
Activities and artworks spread throughout Observatory, especially along Lower Main Road, with cafés, restaurants, and art studios joining in the fun. Keep an eye out for the Event Guide, released the day before the festival, to help you explore everything happening on the day.
